According to HUD’s Annual Point-in-Time Count, as of December 2023, approximately 653,100 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in 2023 across America – a 12% increase (or about 70,650 more people) from 2022. Among people experiencing homelessness, 60% were staying in sheltered locations, while 40% were experiencing unsheltered homelessness in places not meant for human habitation. Approximately 2/3 of people experiencing homelessness are individuals, with the remaining 1/3 being families with children.

Our passion and commitment to help support the homeless officially started in our community of McKinney, Texas. But with a portion of proceeds from every jar sold being donated to local homeless shelters throughout the U.S., our effort is expanding… selected communities are based on the percentage of sales of Just Like Home Kitchen Recipes® by geographic area.

While it is difficult to select from such a strong base of worthy organizations across the country, our selection of specific local homeless shelters/organizations is primarily based on a combination of the organization’s mission and reviews, recommendations and ratings within its respective community.

To date, Just Like Home Kitchen Recipes has donated $54,156* to 101 different homeless support organizations throughout the U.S.

We received your donation at a time where we are expanding rapidly (increased employment support, a new drop-in center, plans to build homes for families) so you can rest assured that your donation will play a large role in supporting those without a home!… Again, thank you so much for your support of Pathlight HOME!
